━━ 1 · who's providing the service

TM Cleaner ("the service", "we", "us") is operated by terratra. Contact: hello@terratra.com. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy.

━━ 2 · what the service does

TM Cleaner accepts user-uploaded TMX 1.4 translation-memory files and produces a cleaned TMX, an audit log of removed segments, and a re-importable TMX of the removed segments. The cleaning logic is described at /how-it-works. The service is provided over the public internet via the website at tmcleaner.com.

━━ 3 · accounts

• ·You must provide a valid email address you control. We never store passwords; access is via single-use email magic link.
• ·One account per person. Sharing accounts (a single account used by multiple distinct humans) is prohibited and may result in suspension.
• ·You can request account deletion at any time by emailing us; we comply within 30 days.
• ·We may suspend accounts that violate these terms with proportionate notice (immediately for safety/security violations, with warning for everything else).

━━ 4 · acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

• ✗upload content you don't have the legal right to process (copyrighted material without permission, confidential client data without authorization, etc.)
• ✗upload content prohibited by applicable law (e.g. CSAM, terrorism material, content protected by export control regimes)
• ✗attempt to breach the service's security, scrape it programmatically beyond reasonable use, or interfere with other users
• ✗farm free-tier accounts using disposable / +suffix email aliases to evade quotas
• ✗resell, white-label, or proxy the service without prior written agreement
• ✗use the service to train machine-translation or language models on third-party content without permission

━━ 5 · pricing, billing, refunds

• ·Free tier: 250 MB of cleaning per calendar month (UTC). Resets on the 1st. No carry- over of unused quota.
• ·Paid tier: $1 per GB cleaned, rounded up to the nearest GB. Top-ups available in $5, $10, $20, $50, $100 increments via Stripe Checkout. Credits never expire.
• ·Charge-on-completion: you are not debited until the cleaned files are ready for download. Cancelled or failed jobs are not charged.
• ·Tax: Stripe Tax computes applicable VAT / sales tax based on your billing address. EU business customers may provide a VAT number for reverse-charge.
• ·Refunds: if a job fails for reasons attributable to us (worker error, infrastructure outage), credit is automatically refunded. If you believe you were incorrectly charged, email hello@terratra.com within 30 days and we'll review.

━━ 6 · your data

You retain all rights, title, and interest in the TMX files you upload and the cleaned outputs we produce. We claim no ownership over your translation memories.

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process the uploaded file solely for the purpose of producing the cleaned output you requested. This license terminates the moment processing finishes; we then permanently delete the uploaded file. See Privacy Policy for full data-handling details.

We do NOT use your content to train machine-translation or language models, ever.

━━ 7 · service availability

The service is provided on an "as available" basis. We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee it. Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance where possible. Enterprise customers with contractual SLAs are governed by those agreements; for everyone else there is no uptime guarantee beyond best-effort operations.

━━ 8 · disclaimers + limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure the cleaning logic produces correct, importable output, but you remain responsible for verifying that cleaned files meet your translation-memory needs before relying on them for production work. The audit CSV + removed.tmx are provided so you can verify what was removed.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to your use of the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) €100. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or revenues.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded by applicable law (e.g. liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or — for EU consumers — statutory consumer-protection rights).

━━ 9 · termination

You may stop using the service at any time. To delete your account and associated data, email hello@terratra.com from the address tied to the account. We comply within 30 days (subject to legal data-retention obligations for billing records).

We may terminate or suspend your account if you materially breach these terms. We will give reasonable notice unless immediate suspension is required to protect the service or other users.

━━ 10 · changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Material changes (pricing, scope of service, liability provisions) will be communicated by email to active accounts at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

━━ 11 · governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which terratra is established. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts there, except that EU consumers retain the right to bring proceedings in their country of residence and to invoke mandatory consumer-protection rules of their local jurisdiction.
